ACDA Women’s Choirs Consortium Commission

The ACDA Women’s Choirs Consortium consists of women’s choirs that pool their resources to commission new works for women’s choirs. The commission fee has been $250 - $300 per choir, paid to the national ACDA office once the consortium is finalized.

Consortium members receive the new works by PDF file and have exclusive rights to copy it for their own performance. The member choirs and their conductors are listed on the work when published. Choirs are encouraged to advertise their premier performances of the new works.

Schedule for Participation in the Consortium:

Call for participation: February 1, 2017
Deadline for participation: March 17, 2017
Invoices sent to consortium members: March 2017
Commissions provided to membership: December of Consortium Year

Membership in the 2017 commission is now underway and will be completed by Dec. 31st. The composers for the 2017 will be announced soon. It is a fabulous book, and one that all women's choir directors should have in their library! Check it out. You can find a review of the book in the August 2013 Choral Journal.
